How to Restrict Access (Muting Permission Sets)

If you need to remove specific permissions from a subset of users within a Permission Set Group — without changing their overall access level — you can use a Muting Permission Set.

For example, you might want most users in the Proff Connect User Group to have access to all features, but prevent a specific team from seeing the "Create Manually" button or accessing certain objects.

Muting Permission Sets let you do this without creating separate groups or assigning individual permission sets.

How to create and apply a Muting Permission Set

Follow the official Salesforce instructions:
Create a Muting Permission Set in a Permission Set Group

Tip: Using Muting Permission Sets is the recommended way to handle exceptions in Proff Connect access. It keeps your permission structure clean and ensures users still inherit future package updates through the group.
